A traditional Chinese-style wedding cheongsam (qipao) in vivid red, made in our Horsham workshop for a real bride's Chinese-themed wedding. A large golden phoenix with peonies is embroidered down the skirt – in Chinese tradition the phoenix stands for the bride, and red brings luck and happiness. These are real, unretouched photos from her wedding day; the groom wore a black brocade mandarin-collar jacket with red cuffs.
- Silhouette: ankle-length, long-sleeved cheongsam, cut close to the body
- Collar: mandarin stand collar with gold piping
- Details: gold piping along the side opening and cuffs, with gold frog (pankou) fastenings
- Embroidery: golden phoenix and peony design on the skirt – or choose a dragon, flowers, your initials or your own motif
- Groom: a matching mandarin-collar jacket can be made to order (see our Mandarin Collar Tunic Jacket, Style XV-S002)
- Fit: made to your own measurements
